OUR ROLE

The AMSA SG Public Health and Innovation Fellowship was set up in 2019 in light of our society’s renewed focus on primary care in the context of an aging population, and the increased focus on utilising medical technologies to improve health outcomes. This fellowship serves to bring together like-minded students to discuss, share ideas and work on new projects or initiatives in Public health and Innovation. Students will have opportunities to participate in workshop series designed to engage ministry/corporate-level partners to enrich their understanding. We also seek to provide members with internship opportunities for exposure to the medical field beyond clinical practice. For example, the Ministry of Healthcare Transformation (MOHT)-AMSA SG internship programme (more details in Public Health).

The fellowship will culminate in a good interbatch learning environment, with previous years’ members providing guidance for their peers and juniors embarking on similar projects. We hope to encourage a long term working relationship between our members as well as between the Association and its partners (more details in external collaboration).
