Local Affiliates
IFMSA
IFMSA collaborates with many external partners, including the World Medical Association (WMA), World Health Organisation (WHO), and the United Nations (UN), to advocate for health issues at the highest level. It is recognised as a non-state actor within these organisations and sends youth delegations to relevant forums and assemblies, playing an active role in shaping health policy.

ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL
Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) International is the key representative body of medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond.
Founded in 1985, AMSA International serves as an active, dynamic and exciting student-led, non-profit non-political organization.
It liaises with many international and regional healthcare organisations such as World Health Organisation and the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia to train the future medical leaders of tomorrow.
Today, it is home to 24 local chapters that collaborate to achieve AMSA’s vision of Knowledge, Action and Friendship by sharing invaluable resources, organising various activities and social endeavours, and creating international friendships.

AMSA International has many subsidiaries, providing member chapters with a wide range of platforms for students to actively participate in. The main subsidiaries / activities of AMSA include, but is not limited, to the following: Journal AMSA (JAMSA), AMSA International Newsletter, Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Programme (AMSEP), European Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Programme (EAMSEP), AMSA Alumni Club, AMSA International Day and AMSA’s annual conferences.
INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF
MEDICAL STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION
Founded in 1951, the International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA) is the world’s oldest and largest independent representative body of medical students internationally and is home to 124 National Member Organisations from 116 countries around the world.
Its mission and vision are to bring medical students from all over the world together to equip them with the necessary knowledge, skills and values to be brighter future medical leaders.
It also aims to provide a platform for these students to lead initiatives that positively contribute to the communities around them.
IFMSA works closely with many international partners, including Association for Medical Education in Europe, World Medical Association, WHO and UN agencies, youth healthcare organisations, to name a few. There are numerous Standing Committees under IFMSA that the member chapters can tap on and participate in:
On top of these, IFMSA also organises many conferences, which are divided into General Assemblies, Regional Meetings, and External Meetings, where members of IFMSA chapters gather to exchange ideas and skills as well as attend meetings of each Standing Committee to make agreements on exchanges and events for the upcoming tenure.

Association of Medical Doctors of Asia
(AMDA) International
The Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA) is an international organization dedicated to realize a peaceful world community through humanitarian efforts in medical health care sector.
Founded in Okayama City, Japan, in 1984, AMDA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with an international network of 30 chapters and 47 collaborating organizations around the world.
Based on the spirit of Sogo-Fujo, AMDA provides emergency medical aid to people affected by natural as well as man-made disasters. Sogo-Fujo is a social value deeply rooted in the traditional Japanese close-knit community life. Literally, it means mutual assistance. It implies a cycle of reciprocating assistance in a given community. AMDA has gone beyond the confinement of each of our affinity group, reaching out to people, far and near, whoever is in need of assistance.
With its special strength in the medical and health sectors, AMDA also implements mid- to long-term social development projects helping people in their community building process. The association has carried out more than 160 missions in 65 countries over the last 32 years. The organisation has contributed medical expertise and supplies to every major natural disaster since 1984 and has held the General Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC since 1995.
